General Rules

  • The reader’s card is personalised it is non-transferable. Based on individual consideration and under exceptional circumstances the user of the Library may use library services through his/her authorized representative.
  • Registered Library user may borrow at the lending desk or at the automated lending equipment.
  • Documents borrowed must be returned within the deadline dated from the day of borrowing. Anyone failing to keep the deadline will be obliged to pay an overdue fine. The amount of overdue fine is HUF 20 per document and per day.
  • Compliance with the borrowing deadline is the obligation of the Library user. The consequences of failing to keep the deadline shall be enforced irrespective of any other circumstances and conditions – especially of the fact of sending or receiving the notice sent by the Library.
  • In the event the Library user failing to keep the deadline through no fault of his/her own he/she may excuse him/herself by presenting a certificate. His/her application regarding this is to be addressed to the head of the reading service.

  • The employees and students of the University of Pécs must settle their library debts before the termination of their legal relationship with the University of Pécs.

Reservation

The Library user may reserve documents borrowed by others. The borrowing deadline of reserved documents may not be renewed. Documents on reserve may only be borrowed by the person making the reservation. Reservation fee: HUF 60.

The Library will notify the Reserving person by e-mail or letter when the reserved document is returned and is available for borrowing. Reserved and returned documents will be held on reserve for the Reserving person for a maximum of 5 days before being made available to others.

 

The Order of Notices

In the case of non-returned books the Library will send 3 notices to the Reader. After the 4th notice the Library will hand over debts to a debt collection company. For detailed information on the Order of Notices please visit our website.
