Invitation to our new exhibition
You are warmly invited to the opening of our new temporary exhibition entitled From Viennese classical music to the “Dance of the Iron Horse. Lithographed cover pages and sheet music rarities from the collection of the Elizabeth University Library” that starts at 2 pm on Thursday, 11 November, 2021.
The sheet music collection placed in the cabinets is a narrow but a rather colorful selection from the sheet music collection of the Elizabeth University Library. In addition to the beautiful and lively covers of sheet music, the material of the exhibition is organized by genre. In addition to the sheet music collection, documents related to the Choir of the Elizabeth University will be displayed.
The guests will be greeted by Szeberényi Gábor, Director General of the University of Pécs Library and Knowledge Centre. The exhibition will be opened by dr. Kovács Szilárd Ferenc, Director of the Institute of Music of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts. After the opening, Pilláry Zsófia, the head of the Library of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, will give a guided tour.
The opening will be accompanied by the choir of the Mátyás Király Utcai Primary School of Pécs.

The exhibition can be viewed between 11 November, 2021 and 31 August, 2022.
The opening ceremony can only be visited with immunity cards.
In accordance with the resolution of the PTE Operational Crew, wearing a mask completely covering the mouth and nose is manadatory during the opening.
