The Embase biomedical database, provided by Elsevier, contains millions of bibliographic records from various fields of medicine, including the records of the MEDLINE database, from 1947 to the present. The database also has a medical subject system (EmTree) that makes searching easier.
With Neptun (EHA) ID and password
The steps are the following:
1. Open the database: https://www.embase.com
2. Click on the ‘Sign in’ button in the top right corner
3. On the next page, DO NOT enter your email address, instead of that click on the ‘You can also sign in via your institution’ section below.
4. Start typing the name of our institution, then select the first option: Pécsi Tudományegyetem (University Library of Pecs)
5. Click on the ‘Sign in via your institution’ button
6. On the University of Pécs centralized identification page, enter your Neptun (EHA) code and its associated password. (You can change the language in the top right corner.)
7. Accept the data service.
8. On the next page, you can create an Elsevier account by entering your email address; this allows convenience functions (e.g. saving searches). If you do not want to register an account, click on the ‘Continue without personalization’ button.
