New Horizons in International Visibility: The Dissertations of the University of Pécs in the ProQuest Database

nyitókép

Dissertations from the University of Pécs are now available on one of the world’s largest academic databases, the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global (PDTG) platform.

While our university’s dissertations were already included in several national and international academic databases, their addition to PDTG represents a significant step forward in global visibility:

        • - Over its 80-year history, ProQuest has built the world’s most comprehensive dissertation repository.
        • - PDTG provides nearly 4 million researchers from over 3,100 institutions worldwide with access to these dissertations.
        • - The database includes a vast multidisciplinary collection with over 5 million citations and 3 million full-text works.

A key highlight is that ProQuest shares its metadata with 35 specialized databases (e.g., Embase, Medline, MLA, ERIC) and Google Scholar. Additionally, institutions like Stanford University and the University of Michigan conduct data mining within PDTG, further expanding the accessibility and citation reach of research from the University of Pécs.
