Open Science Trends: Challenges and Solutions [Workshop]

University educators and researchers face numerous challenges in their publishing practices. To maintain their presence in the online publishing space, they must consider the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and the challenges posed by the increasingly open nature of science (Open Science, OS).

These challenges were addressed during the event, along with specific solutions proposed by the University of Pécs. The workshop showcased expert library services available to researchers and highlighted the support provided by the EDUC European University Alliance

Participants also received their first insights into the university's implementation of the COARA initiative, which aims to reform research assessment.

Scientific Publishing as a Competitive Advantage: Enhancing Performance in the Research Sector

Focus: The Open Science Practices of the University of Pécs

The conference covered university rankings, opportunities for developing university journal editorial boards, and the international visibility of scientific output. Additionally, it explored open-access publishing, research data management, and citizen science through lectures and panel discussions, providing insights into international opportunities, trends, and experiences.

A key focus was also placed on the research support services offered by the University Library and Knowledge Centre, which assist PTE researchers in achieving international success by providing scientific information services and data management support.
