The University of Pécs means more than 20 years of my life. I started my undergraduate studies here, and I have graduated as an architect. After graduation, going out into the real world and working would seem a logical decision, however, I felt the need to learn more about the profession. The university years are a busy time in architectural education, with opportunities for work placements at the institute and with the teachers working there. I took advantage of this learning opportunity, I became part of a good professional community, and I was able to learn architecture from teachers who were outstanding both in their profession and in teaching: Prof. Dr. Zoltán Bachman, Prof. Dr. Bálint Bachmann, Prof. Dr. István Kistelegdi, Prof. Dr. Miklós Iványi and Prof. Dr. Mátyás Hübner. The environment I had already experienced as a student and the professional challenges motivated me to apply to the doctoral school where I was accepted. It was a colourful and exciting professional experience. In addition to all this, I became the secretary of the doctoral school, alongside Professor Bachman. This extra job has broadened my horizons, introduced me to many interesting people of outstanding talent and also to the academic administration. I loved working at the university and being part of the building work of architectural education, so I was very happy when I started working as an assistant lecturer after completing my doctoral studies. I became an official part of the university, and I have been a proud member of it ever since.

Our university is constantly changing, creating new opportunities and challenges. Here we get an international perspective, we work in an international community and have the opportunity to get to know and work in universities abroad. During my work, I have spent six months in Shanghai and two years in Denver as a visiting lecturer.

I teach, do research on interior design and I practise my profession within the institution. These three activities are interdependent and make a complete whole.

Working at the university means interdisciplinarity, and cooperation between professions and cultures in education, creation and research. I consider myself very lucky to be part of this.
