II. Read
and Publish Consortium Open Access Agreements
The University
of Pécs has signed Read and Publish contracts with the American Chemical
Society, Akadémiai Kiadó, Cambridge University Press, De Gruyter, Elsevier,
Oxford University Press, SpringerNature, Taylor & Francis and Wiley through
the National Electronic Information Service Program (Hungarian abbreviation: EISZ)
national consortium. The read-and-publish nature of the contracts allows
full-text access to traditionally subscribed content and the publication of
open access articles. The APC costs of open access articles by PTE authors are
covered by the consortium contract, under the conditions set out below. Open
access agreements do not cover costs other than the article processing charge
(APC).
The
University Library and Knowledge Centre supports the publication of Open Access
articles if the following conditions are met:
- The
corresponding author of the publication must be an employee of the University
of Pécs or a student of the university. Employee status is verified by the
employee database; PhD students must submit a valid student status certificate
to oapublishing@lib.pte.hu.
- The
corresponding authors must provide institutional affiliation with the
University of Pécs when submitting their manuscript.
- Authors who wish to apply must affiliated with the University of Pécs in
the Hungarian Science Bibliography (Hungarian abbreviation:
MTMT).
Additional
conditions:
- The
contracts only exempt authors from paying APC fees, and do not cover other
publication fees (such as page charges, colour printing fees, submission fees,
or other publication or editorial fees).
The
eligibility of the authors for institutional support is checked by publishers
using the following (automated) methods:
-
identification of the institutional e-mail address (.pte.hu)
