Registration – conditions
Everyone can be a member of the Library. Registration is done personally by signing the entry declaration, and in exceptional cases it is possible to enroll and loan via proxy by submitting the completed authorization forms.
Non-lecturing staff of the University of Pécs should also sign a staff statement.
Necessary documents
- identity card / passport / residence permit / card format - driving license;
- in the case of students, the student card valid for the current semester (in the absence of this, a certificate of student status);
- NEPTUN code for University of Pécs students;
- a guarantee statement for people under 18 years of age.
In order to benefit from the registration, you must have a valid proof of entitlement.
Please keep the expired library card and bring it with you when you enroll. In the absence of this, the price of the new library card is 1000 Ft.
The library also offers free daily cards for local use.
Daily cards
The library can be visited for free of charge with a daily card.The daily card can be requested at the Registration on the ground floor of the Knowledge Centre.Identification card (or passport, residence permit, credit card-sized driving license) and residence card are needed to request a daily card.When leaving or temporarily leaving the library area, please give the daily card to a member of the security service.Basic library services
The following basic services are free for the library user:
- visiting the library,
- local use of the library collections,
- use of traditional / printed file exploration tools (catalogs),
- information regarding academic literature / basic information,
- use of electronic / online file exploration tools (catalogs),
- information about the library and library system services,
- non-registration services available through the library website.
Library registration services
- loan from the library assigned parts,
- book reservation,
- interlibrary loan,
- advanced information regarding academic literature,
- use of the Local History and Music Collections,
- computer and internet usage, Wi-Fi access (SSID: TK-LIB)
- the use of programs installed by the library on library machines,
- the use of e-databases and electronic journals subscribed by the library,
- local use of CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs in the library,
- NAVA service

Unique library card
Having trouble remembering your 13-digit code on your library card? Or would you use your nickname? Now you can!
The name you choose for your unique library card will be in CAPITAL letters.
Min. 5 and max. 13 characters. It must be unique, not offensive or obscene.
There are 24 basic characters to choose from and an extra number can be added to the combination.
The fee for the service is 500 Ft and the fee for card replacement is 1000 Ft.

Renew it online!You can now renew your Knowledge Centre library card conveniently from home in 4 easy steps:
Step 1
For the renewal, get ready your library card and your personal documents (ID card, address card) and scan them. If you are entitled for any discount, you will also need your documents entitling you, for example your student card with valid sticker or a certificate issued by your employer etc.
Step 2
Log in to your account: https://go.tkp.hu/patrondata
The patron’s barcode is on your library card.
You can check your enrolment under the Data tab.
If you see this image next to your Knowledge Centre barcode, you have the option to renew it online. Click on the image!
Step 3
Upload your mentioned personal documents.
You can leave us a message related to the renewal in the Notes box.
Click on Confirm to send us your renewal request.
Step 4
Check your e-mail account! We will reply within 3 days.
Practical information
◉ You can only renew online your Knowledge Centre library card if it has expired or will expire within 1 month.
◉ The maximum size of each file is 5 MB. Before uploading please check the quality of the documents.
◉ In case of minor readers, they must upload the personal documents of the guarantor and the child concerned.
◉ University of Pécs students need to enter their Neptun code in the Notes field.
◉ Please settle your debts via your reader account and renew your overdue books before sending your request. If the system does not offer any further renewal options, you will need to return the books to the library unit concerned.
◉ There may be a subscription fee for renewing a library card. You will be informed in a reply.
